"Celebration Swing"

Text From Alumni Relation's Email Announcement
The great musical touch is by The Great Class.
"But, of course!"

"Alumni Relations invites you to put on your dancing shoes and join us for the Celebration Swing, honoring dedicated alumni service to Dartmouth College since 1854.  Dance to the music of the Fred Haas Sextet. Enjoy hors d'oeuvres, refreshments, and a cash bar.  Saturday, October 22, 2005, from 9 pm to midnight (following class dinners) in Alumni Hall, Top of the Hop.  Informal attire.

Be sure to join us the following morning (Sunday, October 23) for brunch at 10:30 am and the Association of Alumni Annual Meeting at 11 am in Alumni Hall.  Meet David Spalding, the new vice president for alumni relations, help elect new officers, discuss a proposed new constitution, and receive a special commemorative Dartmouth photo by College photographer Joe Mehling '69.  To RSVP for the Celebration Swing and the Annual Meeting brunch and photograph, please email Dee Dee Roy-Deyo at homecoming.events@dartmouth.org.

Make plans to arrive Friday afternoon to attend the Alumni Book Club of Dartmouth (ABCD) discussion of "Mountains Beyond Mountains," by Tracy Kidder. This event will take place in the Hayward Lounge at the Hanover Inn from 3 - 4:30 pm. "Mountains Beyond Mountains," the thought-provoking story of the life of Dr. Paul Farmer, was the assigned reading for the incoming freshman class. The book discussion will be led by Professors Richard Wright and Coleen Fox. All alumni and students welcome."

Big Greeners, you're listening to Lisa Stansfield's,  "Mack The Knife"
from the motion picture soundtrack "Swing."   If you like it.  Buy it.
Show the appreciation for the artist's music that makes this site fun.
