Class of 1965 Mini-Reunion Vail Colorado
March 4-6, 2005
Skiing:   For the main "reunion" days, we propose to follow the same routine as last year.  We will meet near the Ski School entrance point to the Vista Bahn Lift at 9:15, head up mountain at 9:30 AM, break for lunch at the Bistro Restaurant in the Game Creek Club on the mountain at around 12:15 PM, and then ski or not in the afternoon as the participants on the day want....
Friday, Mar 4, 2005  /  Saturday, Mar 5, 2005  /  Sunday, Mar 6, 2005
Friday, March 4 is an "All Dartmouth Ski Day" hosted by the Dartmouth Club -Vail Region.   We expect participation by the Tuck Alumni Skiers, the Dartmouth Lawyers Association and members of the Denver Dartmouth Club.  Last year, we had over  45 Dartmouth connected skiers on the mountain at one time which may be some kind of record for Dartmouth skiers outside of New England.  We would love to see twice that number playing with us this year!  Tell your friends in the Dartmouth community around the globe.... Come to Vail for the first weekend in March!

Combined Dartmouth Clubs Set Vail Attendance Record!

The newly formed Dartmouth Club of the Vail Region
The Club has a membership from Classes as young as
1946 to as old as 2001.  For any of you who think you
are too old to ski, think about this... Some of the Vail
Dartmouth Club's members were undergraduates at
Dartmouth in the year most of us were born!

On Saturday, March 5, we will plan to line up a Ski Instructor to guide us around, provide some minimal instruction to those in need and help us beat the lines if there are any.  This is sort of an insurance policy to be sure you get the best possible skiing opportunity.  We'll split the cost up amongst the "heads" skiing in this group.
Arrivals on Thursday or before
For those who can arrive early, we will organize some activities to fit with your availability.  Just keep us posted on when you will be coming and when you are available to play with us...
Friday Afternoon and Evening: DCVR and "All Dartmouth Cocktail Party"
Along the lines of our very successful event last year, we plan to use the Sonnenalp Hotel "Library Room" in Vail Village as our venue.  Last year, we had over 60 people at this event.  It was quite a good time for everyone....  We will probably have dinner in the Bully Pub afterward....
Friday, Mar 4:  Cocktails 4:30 - 6:00 PM, Dinner 6 - 8 PM
Saturday Seminar Hosted by Tuck Alumni    7:30am - 9:00am - Tuck Alumni Lifelong Learning (TALL!) Breakfast Meeting with Professor Bob Howell  We are invited to join the Tuckies at The Lodge at Vail for a terrific seminar entitled "Finding Value in Financial Statements" with Professor Bob Howell. Enjoy a full breakfast including scrambled eggs with Vermont cheddar cheese, applewood smoked bacon and sausage links, homemade breakfast pastries and more!.
Saturday, Mar 5, 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM
Saturday Night: Snow Shoeing to "the light of the moon"     The plan is to start from the mountain's snow shoe rental HQ at the top of the Gondola lift at 6:00 PM.  After hiking around the top of the mountain with a guide in the light of the moon for an hour or so, we will have a group dinner at the Blue Moon Cafe in the Gondola building.  If you have never had the experience of snowshoeing at 12,000 ft. in the dark of night, this is your chance!  If the weather is with us and you time your lift ride up the mountain right, you will see the sun set and the moon come up!  It is pretty spectacular!
Saturday, Mar 5: Meet top of the Gondola at 6:00 PM; Dinner at 7:30 PM in the Blue Moon Cafe
Sunday and beyond:  Open Schedule
The Sunday skiing plan is as noted above.  For those who stay on to Monday or longer, we will organize dinner and appropriate activities so plan on continuing the "weekend" as long as you can...
